Important Notes 2019.3.1
Additional important notes are apply to the 2019.3 release as well as the 2019.3.1 release.
Directed Meshing: New Default Setting in Auto Source Mesh
For the Minimum Face Quality property of the volume Mesher nodes (Directed Mesh > Source Meshes > [auto mesh node] > Meshers), the default setting has been changed from 0.05 to 0. This new setting ensures that the remesher does not change any required topology.
Fixes in Update Release of Simcenter STAR-CCM+ 2019.3.1
This section details the fixes that were introduced in the update release of Simcenter STAR-CCM+2019.3.1.
- CF-32 Fix slow performance by the user interface when a large number of dynamic queries is in use. For example, a scene could take 5 to 10 seconds to display a part that is tagged, while the same simulation without queries responds almost immediately.
- DEM-935 Fix a freeze that occurs with cylinder-cylinder and cylinder-boundary contact in DEM modeling.
- DOC-1533 Update the Japanese translation of the Product Excellence Program description in the Installation Guide.
- DPM-927 Fix the inability to initialize all Lagrangian solvers with inactive physics continua.
- FDF-1236 Fix an internal error that occurs when a simulation is run with an inactive interface.
- FDF-1264 Complete the steps in the Multiple Time Scales documentation (Simulating Physics > Space, Time, and Motion > Modeling Time > Multiple Time Scales).
- IMM-2867 Reduce oscillatory behavior and noise in the results of Force reports for overset cases with symmetry.
- PRO-2979 Complete the Russian translation of some parameters of Simcenter STAR-CCM+ In-Cylinder.
- RUN-2533 Fix failures of status parsing or resource validation in Job Manager, so that such entries only result in log entries, rather than interfere with job submission.
- SRM-1949 Fix an exception that occurs when the Surface Remesher runs with a quad mesh.
- SRP-3126 Fix a SIGSEGV error that occurs when a parts-based CAD Boolean Intersect operation is executed in a simulation containing baffles.
- VBAT-5800 Fix the discrepancy in battery modeling results between 14.02 and 14.04 by correcting the positioning of the local coordinate system.
