My intention for my students is to give you a head start in understanding and making connections that usually would take decades if you had not had a mentor to share the real-life stories with you of how it really is in the field. I have been practicing Reiki for over 20 years and its practices have healed my own migraine issues and provided me with an understanding of my own energy and a way to regulate the state of my own body and healing needs and an understanding of when I have reached my stress limits. The body communicates with us, and Reiki has helped me tap into the inner hearing and understanding. Once I learned this for myself, I could not keep it to myself. My parents and sisters are Reiki Masters brought in through my lineage and we live the Reiki principles of healing and love. I also performed Reiki in hospitals with patients and helped one I am most humbled by, as one of her many alternative healing therapists, come home from a semi coma. I hope you enjoy every level. Children are often viewed as highly resilient and able to bounce back from just about any situation, but traumatic experiences in childhood can have severe and long-lasting effects well into adulthood if they are left unresolved. Childhood trauma can result from any thing that makes a child feel helpless and disrupts their sense of safety and separation, including: sexual, physical or verbal abuse; domestic violence; an unstable or unsafe environment; separation from a parent; neglect; bullying; serious illness; or intrusive medical procedure. If you're living with the emotional and psychological consequences of a traumatic childhood, there is hope. Acknowledge and recognize the trauma for what it is. Victims of childhood trauma often spends years minimizing the event or dismissing it by pretending it happens or by succumbing to feelings of guilt or self-blame. The only way you can begin healing is to acknowledge that traumatic event did occur and that you were not responsible for it. Reclaim control. Feelings of helplessness can carry well into adulthood and can make you feel and act like a perpetual victim, causing you to make choices based on your past pain. When you're a victim, the past is in control of your present. But when you've conquered your pain, the present is controlled you. There may always be a battle between past and present, but as long as you're willing to let go of the old defenses and crutches you used as a child to navigate your trauma, you will be able to reclaim control of your life now and heal your pain.Seek support and don't isolate yourself.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment that was originally designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. Adaptive information processing model posits that EMDR therapy facilitates the accessing and processing of traumatic memories and other adverse life experience to bring these to an adaptive resolution. After successful treatment with EMDR therapy, affective distress is relieved, negative beliefs are reformulated, and physiological arousal is reduced. During EMDR therapy the client attends to emotionally disturbing material in brief sequential doses while simultaneously focusing on an external stimulus. Therapist directed lateral eye movement are the most commonly used external stimulus but a variety of other stimulus including hand - tapping and audio stimulation are often used hypothesizes that EMDR therapy facilitates the accessing of the traumatic memory network, so that information processing is enhanced, with new associations forged between the traumatic memory and more adaptive memories or information.EMDR therapy affect the brain: our brains have a natural way to recover from traumatic memories and events. This process involves communication between the amygdala ( the alarm signal for stressful events), the hippocampus ( which assist with learning, including memories about safety and danger), and the prefrontal cortex ( which analyze and controls behavior and emotion) while many times traumatic experiences can be managed and resolved spontaneously, they may not be processed without help.

It is goal-directed and focuses on building solutions, rather than on solving the problems that clients bring to therapy.Rather than dwelling on an individual's weakness and limitations, solution - focused therapy concentrate solely on an individual's strengths and possibilities to help them move forward. It works by helping them overcome problems without tackling them directly- using the solution- building concept to foster change and help individuals to develop a set of clear, concise and realistic goals. It is the role of a solution-focused therapist to help elicit and implement these solutions via a series of discussions. In this discussions, the therapist will help individuals to envisage a clear and detailed picture of how they see their future - and how things will be better once changes are made. They will encourage them to explore past experiences and times when they were as happy as they see themselves in their future vision. These processes aim to evoke a sense of hope and expectation and make a future solution seem possible. It is essentially the future vision that drives the therapy process forward, ensuring that it is directional and, as a result, brief. Therapist can use this future solution to shape the techniques and questions that will comprise discussions. These aim to help individual realize their potential and find the courage to move forward.

It has been 5 years since the release of my original eye tutorial. Since then there are new online resources available and my workflow and skills have become more refined. The eyes are the most important part of a character. Especially when dealing with a realistic portrait.
In this tutorial I go over the entire process of creating the eye. This includes modeling, texturing and look development. I also integrate the eye with a human face where I show you how to re-balance your textures as well as creating the caruncle and meniscus. These are all vital steps in generating a realistic eye.
The tutorial has over 3.5 hours of recorded video with audio where I explain my every step of the process. I will also be providing the model for the eyes, diffuse textures and a Maya scene with my shading network.
By The end of the tutorial you should have the knowledge and techniques to create your own realistic eyes for your characters.
