It shows ADR takes via a web browser, on any tablet or laptop on the same LAN network, letting the voice talent have a digital script and the ability for an editor or the session director to change it instantaneously. Dialogue can be edited and notes added in Nuendo's marker data, with no need for the inconvenience of syncing documents. A Dialogue Context Preview displays the dialogue lines before and after those selected, highlighting how the currently-selected line is embedded in the scene.
DIALOGUE EDITING
TonalMatch
TonalMatch is a new direct offline process (DOP) which analyses the sound characteristics of an audio recording and enables it to be transferred to other clips, matching the spectral profile (EQ) and ambient noise floor. It can be used to match an ADR session to the original production sound more quickly and precisely than has previously been achievable using EQs and/or other editing plug-ins.
VoiceSeparator
VoiceSeparator is a new, AI-based VST plug-in which is trained to detect and isolate spoken dialogue from complex background noises, including other voices, and also to reduce or remove undesired voice sounds from background and ambient recordings. Used as an insert effect or DOP, it can be used to quickly isolate the sounds that are wanted and to remove those that aren't.
VocalChain Plug-in

Cleaning up dialogue while keeping background noise for use on a different track is easier with the updated Detect Silence panel. Instead of only stripping silent parts, dialogue content can now be split automatically, then events can be created for the silent and non-silent areas. A new era in poly-analog synth modeling
Obsession brings the power of a great polyphonic vintage synthesizer to your fingertips. It combines the astute modeling of voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), voltage-controlled filter (VCF) and voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) with a comprehensive individual voice control that has never been done before in this detail.


Obsession is a powerful vintage synthesizer emulation. It starts out with the classic synth design comprised of two oscillators, a switchable two/four pole low-pass filter, two ADSR envelope generators and two LFOs, all meticulously modeled from the hardware.
A comprehensive modulation matrix, two Step controls for powerful rhythmic sequences, and a high-quality effect chain greatly enhance the versatility of the instrument. Two parts with Single/Dual/Split modes offer plenty of extra room for experienced sound designers. Modern features like support for multidimensional polyphonic expression (MPE) as well as Native Kontrol Standard (NKS) complete this mighty plug-in.
Obsession features an easy-to-use, scalable interface (Retina-ready) with direct access to all important parameters.
The individual voice control is perhaps the most important feature of Obsession: Each voice board can differ noticeably from the others in many ways, creating that organic, lively sound that vintage-analog poly synths are famous for.
For instance, turning the Cutoff Frequency trimpot to the left means that the Cutoff Frequency of that particular voice is going to be lower than average, whereas turning it to the right means it is higher than average. Likewise, turning the Amp Release trimpot to the left is going to shorten the release time somewhat for that particular voice, whereas turning the trimpot to the right will result in a longer release time. Even extra parameters like oscillator and filter scaling, found on the voice boards of the real hardware, are present in Obsession.
The back panel of Obsession gives access to the high-quality effects section, the modulation matrix, as well as the LFO Steps control.
The high-quality reverb coded by Mirko Ruta with the added Shimmer effect lifts pads, leads and athmospheric to a new dimension. A stereo delay as well as a Chorus/Ensemble effect can be applied to enhance the output yet further. Temperature-dependent fluctuations can be simulated by the novel "Organic" knob, lifting the expressiveness and sound quality to a new level.
In order to greatly enhance the modulation capabilities of Obsession, the powerful LFO Steps control allows to create rhythmic, tempo-synced modulation of almost every sound parameter. Free-hand drawing can be employed as well to create arbitrary LFO shapes.

Beyond the transient shaper
A transient shaper is an audio processor that can increase or reduce the transients or tonal parts of a signal. It has become an indispensable mixing tool on every studio. Quantum automatically detects and classifies the transients of your signal, separating the sound in two paths: attack and sustain. The level of control you have now is unmatched, giving you the possibility to add effects to each path separately, before joining them back together. When dealing with innovation we struggle to classify our own creations. Is Quantum a transient shaper? In a way it is, but when you compare it to a regular transient shaper you fall short, as it is so much bigger. Quantum is innovative and it doesn't fit into a simple category.


Smart transient detection
Quantum is a state of the art transient shaper at its core. We use that technology to automatically detect transients. By doing so, we get artifact-less, more natural results than other methods that can sound digital and full of artifacts. Quantum takes away the need of a threshold parameter, which you would have to set for each track. That way you can work faster and get pristine results.
Endless possibilities
Quantum is not a one-trick-pony, it's quite the opposite. Think about it like a toolbox. It's a comprehensive set of tools that let you control, mangle, manipulate and completely transform your tracks. EQ your transients, re-pitch your drums without losing any of the attack, reduce plosives from vocals, why not EQ plosives only? Add reverb to just the attack of your drums to get a much more focused and clean room feel. Possibilities are really endless, and we are sure that you will come up with new ways of using it that we can't imagine right now. Be creative!
