Fotor is a simplified suite of powerful editing tools for your images. Fotor's fast and intuitive design, brings advanced photo editing techniques to anyone who wants to try. With just a few click you can achieve impressive results that will let you push your creativity without having to learn some of the confusing ins and outs of other graphics editors.


When you start the program you are asked to either being to edit a photo or create a collage.

Collage is meant for layouts of your post-processed, edited pictures into a cool format you can either print or share. Edit is where all the fun stuff is, like adding tone, effects, etc. - so let's start there.

The interface is clean. Even if you know nothing of photography or photo editing, you can quickly start tweaking up an image to make it more pleasing to your needs. Here, I picked a simple photo of an eagle to see what I could make from it.

The scenes mode works a little bit like a scene mode on a camera, making predetermined software decisions for you based on you scene or lighting situation you pick. The AUTO option works nice, but feel free to click all of the options to see if there is something else you like. There's no wrong choice . Just what you like.

You next option is CROP. You don't have follow the menu steps in order, but for the sake of a walk though it is necessary. I prefer to crop once I have my final edits in place. The function itself is very nice. You can free form if you like, type in the exact pixel dimensions or simply chose from a number of presets and the program will do the rest for you. There is a nice overlay of a 3x 3 grid layout. This makes centering is as well as abiding by the rules of the Rule of Thirds rather easy. I made a 4x6 crop which is pretty standard for printing. Grabbing the edges I moved the crop to place the eye of the bird in the upper center of the grid until it felt more balance.

Next is ADJUST. Here you can straighten a crooked images (This is why I crop last.) apply effects like red eye removal and vignette as well as adjust the exposure contrast, saturation etc of the image. Don't worry if you don't know what any of that is. The program uses sliders so you can move around things as much as you like until you are happy. If you get lost, just hit the undo button to continuously undo edits you have made under a tab. If you hate everything, just click the reset button at the bottom of the program. Here, I added a slight bit of contrast and brightness and decreased the saturation a tad - trying to make the bird pop out a bit.

EFFECTS, is where most of you will jump straight to. This is where you can take your photo from nice to yowza in a hurry. You will find over 60 preset edits to give your photo a very unique look and feel that your literally take an hour to do in something like Photoshop - without a whole bunch of plug ins. You cannot stack edits though. Meaning, if you wanted to chose a "Classic Real-Illusion" filter, as I have here, and then decide you want to add one of the other artsy choices as well, the program will undo the first filter. To use multiple filters, you will need to save your file, and reopen the image and add the new effect. That seems a tad bulky. Perhaps that can be addressed in future builds.

The next tab is the Tilt-Shift. In short, I love it. I own Phorotshop CS5, and yes you can achieve this effect with the blur tool, gradients and layers - but it's nowhere near as easy. A real tilt shift lens will set you back about $1000 and a good lens with a 1.4 apeture will set you back a good penny as well. Although, if you are looking for a hardware solution, you could probably do a lot of this with a the new Lensbaby Compser for about $380. OR - You can use Fotor and get a great result for free. You make the call.

You have two options to chose from: Radial and Linear. The linear effect is more the tradition sort of "tilt-shift" that is used by creative types to make real life stills appear to be miniaturized scenes. The radial option is more like accentuating the bokah that you would get in high end lens. You will see options for F/22 to F/1.4 -- this denotes the aperture of the lens simulation. For the purpose of this article, F/22 will have less of an effect on your final image and F/1.4 will have the greatest.

Here, I used the radial option as the original image was slightly out of focus anyway and I wanted to accent the eye. With this tool, what is in the center will remain sharp or in focus. The next circle slightly blurred and the outer circle even more so. You can move these around as needed to create the effect you like. This blurring draws the eye of the viewer to the sharpest part of the photo. For the eagle I used the F/8 setting but I edited one up of a butterfly at F/1.4 to show the difference.

And there you have it. Click save and you are done. The start to finish time I spent on this image was about 3 minutes, so be kind. Cool, huh? I dig it. It has a old school vibe to it that like. There is a nice SHARE button as well that can dump your photo straight to Flicker / Facebook /Twitter with a couple clicks.

One other note. There is a button at the bottom of this section that I nearly missed called, "Compare". This is very handy. If you click and hold that button it will show you the original image. Release it and you are back to your edit. Toggling between the two is a great way to see if you are on the right track.

Ok, now click home to get to the main screen and you'll see the Collage option. That is just that; a fast, flexible ability to make a bunch of collages very quickly. When opening, you can choose from hundreds of layouts of go freestyle. You can change some other options as well, like Border Color and Roundness, to taste. I was surprised you could not simply drag a photo in from Windows into place though. You have to click The ADD button to select an image. It will then show on the left menu and you can then drag it from there. Collages are a great way to share a few vacation photos quickly for in this case I added multiple perspectives of Niagara Falls which gives a more comprehensive impression of the falls than image or series of images could convey.

Ok, no Fotor is not Photoshop or GIMP. It's not meant to be. It is however a fast and impressive editor that is a ton of fun. I was able to teach my 6 year old how to use Fotor in about ten minutes. I literally have a rocket scientist friend that I haven't been able to teach how to use Photoshop in years, so.....Photoshop and and GIMP are not for everyone, but Fotor could be. I definitely recommend having this app in your tool box. It will save you time and bring out your creativity with almost no learning curve and zero cost... What's not to like.

Easy to learn
The ARP 2600 is the ideal way to learn about analog synthesis. The main signal path runs clearly from left to right. Unlike a modular synth, cables are completely optional; you can make incredible sounds just by moving the sliders. Everything's there right in front of you - no scrolling required.We wanted to expand on this tradition of education and ease-of-use. A new silkscreen uses color to differentiate between signal sources, signal processors, modulation sources, and control modules. (If you prefer, of course, the original white-on-black silkscreen is also available.) When you decide to use cables, they show the signal flow direction, and inapplicable patch points fade into the background. On-screen help has information and useful tips for every slider, knob, switch, and jack.

Effects

We've kept the original spring reverb on the patch panel, but also brought the effects up to modern specifications with three insert effects and a dedicated reverb slot.There are 31 effects types to choose from, including vintage pedals, guitar amps, and tape echoes to modern reverse delays and shimmer reverb - taking the ARP 2600's classic synth timbres to the next level.
Beauty in the details
Our engineers spent considerable time understanding every detail of the original and modern schematics, poring over the original ARP 2600 manuals, testing with oscilloscopes, and most importantly listening.
The original AR and ADSR envelopes, for example, might seem simple - but it took a lot of time and tweaking to get them just right. The oscillator waveforms are correct, including the slight imperfections that add a unique brightness (especially for the triangle and sine).
We modeled both of the original VCF modules, the 4012 and the 4072, with a switch to select between them. We included all of the many saturation points on the original hardware, with subtle distortions that bring life to the sound. Extensive anti-aliasing techniques spread throughout the different modules let us deliver truly premium audio quality. KORG's Component Modeling Technology (CMT) includes variations between analog components, just as you'd find with multiple hardware 2600s, to deliver natural richness when playing polyphonically.

What is the MDS sound engine?
Multi-Dimensional Synthesis (MDS) is Korg's proprietary sound engine system. In developing EP-1, we first meticulously sampled the tonal changes produced by electric pianos across a wide range of keystroke strengths, and selected from the finest individual electric pianos that offer excellent playability as the source instruments. By separating the pitch components and noise components such as hammer and key release and re-synthesizing them under separate control, we were able to recreate all the tonal changes of electric pianos. As a result, we achieved a sound engine system that reacts extremely naturally to player control, with sound editing performance, touch sensitivity, and temporal changes in sound that could not be expressed with normal sample playback methods.
The smooth tonal changes from soft to intense touch are naturally free of the noticeable boundaries typical of velocity switching. Temporal changes such as decay and release also achieve a natural feeling, different from those produced by envelope generators.
Diverse Electric Piano Sounds
From the '60s to today, electric piano sounds have been an essential part of many musical styles and genres. The EP-1 delivers an extensive array of sounds, from classic electric piano tones to aggressive plucked piano sounds through a guitar amp, and hammer sounds that emphasize the attack components of tines. With 50 reinterpreted electric piano sounds utilizing the MDS engine, the EP-1 will add vibrant new colors to your sonic palette.
Effects
The EP-1 offers three insert effects and a dedicated reverb slot. There are 31 effects types to choose from, including vintage pedals, guitar amps, and tape delay to modern reverse delays and shimmer reverb.
MIDI Control
All sounds come with modulation wheel sound changes, adding rich nuance to your performance. Customize your Mod Matrix with aftertouch or velocity to create rich, nuanced expressions. The legendary VOX Continental organ is faithfully recreated in software as the VOX Super Continental! Originally conceived in the early 1960s as a more portable and affordable alternative to tonewheel organs, the VOX Continental's distinctive sound - and its sharp red-and-black design - soon made it a staple of "British Invasion" bands. The Continental's bright timbre and brash attitude fit perfectly with jangly guitars, and easily cut through the mix on stage and in the studio.


Production stopped around 1970, but a new generation of ska, garage, punk, and new wave bands adopted the instruments in the '70s and '80s. Weathered and worn through decades of use, and none-too-stable to begin with, the instruments tend to be charmingly out of tune. As the key contacts aged, each note started to sound slightly different. With this unique voice, a combination of electric tone and vintage character, the Vox Continental is a fixture of stage and studio - particularly in indie music.
The KORG Collection VOX Super Continental plug-in began as a re-creation of a beloved, carefully maintained Super Continental personally owned by the primary software engineer, including such details as the behavior of hundreds of individual key contacts. We then expanded the model to incorporate other features, such as the extremely rare percussion section, in order to get the best possible representation of the Super Continental sound. We're now proud to present the most accurate VOX Continental software instrument available anywhere!

Individual notes are made by combining overtones from the drawbars. Each key has up to five key contact wires, one for each drawbar. When each wire hits its drawbar bus, that overtone sounds (often along with a tiny burst of noise). The contacts are usually worn and misaligned after all these years, and so the wires hit the drawbar buses at slightly different times. This lends every note a unique character at note-on and note-off.
All of these imperfections are lovingly modeled, and Calibration controls let you dial in as much or as little of them as you like.
MIDI control
The Mod Matrix (with 30 slots for modulating parameters from MIDI sources) and the MIDI Map lets you directly control drawbars, knobs, and switches from your favorite MIDI controller for programming and automation.
Effects
The VOX Super Continental was almost always played through an amp, so of course we include a selection of amp and cabinet models, along with a stunningly detailed rotary speaker. There are two insert effects before the amp, another insert after it, and finally a dedicated reverb slot. For the inserts you can choose between 30 effects types, including everything from vintage pedals and tape delay to modern reverse delays and shimmer reverb.

O&O DiskImage 19 lets you back up an entire computer or single files whenever you want - even while the computer is being used. In the event you should lose your personal data it can be quickly restored with just a few mouse clicks - even when Windows is no longer able to start. It also supports SSD drives and the latest UEFI System.


O&O DiskImage lets you carry out a system restore and to duplicate or clone an entire PC or hard drive. You can even restore this backup onto a computer whose hardware is different from the original machine, for instance, where you have changed a motherboard on the target machine or have bought a brand new PC and want to restore an old backup onto it.

A regular backup is still something that many users prefer to avoid. At least that is until they suffer their first loss of important files as a result of software, hardware or user error: that's when it becomes crystal clear just how valuable a reliable and up-to-date backup really is!

Comprehensive VHD / VHDX functionality
With the new version 19 it's possible to convert image files made with O&O DiskImage into Microsoft Virtual Hard Disc (VHDX as well as VHD) image files. This can be especially useful if someone wants to first "rehearse" migrating from Windows 10 to Windows 11 because it can be done using a virtual machine created on the current system.

The new O&O DiskImage 19 can also create incremental and differential images of virtual drives. Combining or mounting these images is also possible. Whenever there's a backup available, it only takes a few seconds to access any files that are needed. Work on the computer can then be continued without any loss of time or important data.

Normally with a backup or imaging program you need to create a boot medium (USB) to boot up your system if something goes awry. This you have to either carry around or store somewhere safe in case disaster strikes.

Thanks to the integration into the system, the O&O DiskImage RecoveryPartition can be accessed immediately so that the last system image can be restored directly. If the Windows operating system does not start or if faulty drivers have to be uninstalled - with the integrated recovery environment, all O&O tools are available to make the system operational again as easily as possible. Not only is this much more comfortable and quicker for the user, it also provides them with an extra level of security as this medium cannot get lost or damaged as easily as a "portable", external one.

O&O DiskImage To Go
Previously, in addition to regularly backing up your machine, you also had to separately create an O&O DiskImage boot media to restore that backup. Everything is easier now! The new O&O DiskImage To Go function automatically turns an external hard drive (or USB flash drive with enough storage space) into an O&O DiskImage boot medium and marks this disk as the preferred storage medium for future system backups. As soon as you then connect this external USB hard disk to your computer, O&O DiskImage 19 automatically creates a backup. This makes it easy to create a recent backup. And if something really happens to your computer or you want to transfer your system and all your data to a new computer, then with the O&O DiskImage boot medium you can restore the backup stored on it with just one touch of a button. Without the hassle of searching for the boot medium and the external hard drive with the backup.
