PDF Split and Merge is an easy to use tool to merge and split pdf documents. Provides a grafical interface and a command line interface to spit, merge, mix and rotate your PDF documents.


PDF Split and Merge Basic is an application that you can use to perform several actions on your PDF files, including merging, splitting, rotating and rearranging pages.
The interface of the program is plain and simple. On the left side of the window you can select an action between "Alternate Mix", "Merge/Extract", "Rotate", "Split", "Visual document" and "Visual reorder".
In the list you can view the path, number of pages and version of each PDF file, after you add them (the "drag and drop" method is supported).
So, you can configure mixing options, such as reverse the first or second document, set the number of pages to switch from the first/second document to the other.
Furthermore, you can set options for merging (PDF documents contain forms), rotation (clockwise rotation for 90, 180 or 270 degrees, for all, even or odd pages) and splitting (e.g. split even or odd pages, into single pages, after specific ones, by bookmarks level).
Plus, you can open a PDF file, rearrange, extract, delete pages and save them in a new file, zoom in and out, and more.
In the "Settings" menu, you can change the interface language and theme, set the log level, set PDF Split and Merge Basic to automatically check for updates at startup, disable alert sounds, enable to ask for confirmation when the overwrite checkbox is selected, and others.
The program uses a high amount of system resources and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. Unfortunately, there are no guidelines available and users might have a hard time getting around PDF Split and Merge Basic's features.
The interface could use some improvements in the way that it is easier to navigate through all functions. Nevertheless, we recommend PDF Split and Merge Basic to all users.

Sandboxie Plus/Sandboxie+ is more useful than the normal Sandboxie (Classic).
Sandboxie+ is a fork of Sandboxie (Classic), designed to add improved functionality.
Sandboxie+ allows you to run programs in an isolated and protected space. This protected space will prevent any permanent changes being made to other programs and data to your computer, allowing you to test, play, and utilize them without fear of harming your computer.

Sandboxie+ fixes many known issues and security holes of the last official Sandboxie (Classic) release, adds new functionality, most notably a new Qt-based UI SandMan.exe that is far more advanced than the old MFC based SbieCtrl.exe UI. The security fixes are essential as they effectively close privilege escalation and sandbox escape issues present in the last official build.
Sandboxie+ will have many more features to come. The author's vision is to develop Sandboxie+ into a full-featured application virtualization tool. Among other things, today's update fixes a couple of display issues. If you have ever seen blank lines in the main song table - this update is for you. In general, beaTunes will feel a little faster and scrolling around in huge lists should be more responsive. Also related to graphics: the choice of GPU (graphics adapter) on OS X. There really is no reason why beaTunes should use the high performance GPU. Thanks to a recent Java update (8u92), beaTunes is now able to request the integrated GPU instead of the high performance one, resulting in lower power consumption. And as beaTunes comes bundled with a Java runtime, there is no need for you to update your system's Java to get this feature.
Another important bug fix deals with Album Replay Gain. Because the beaTunes analysis queue processes multiple tracks in parallel and independently, computing Album Replay Gain is a little like dealing with a pink, spotted elephant: All tracks for an album have to be loaded, analyzed and the metadata has to be written, while another analysis thread may already work on one of those files. Compared to all other values beaTunes computes, this is a big exception and requires some extra synchronization logic. For 4.6.1, this logic has been completely rewritten.
