Our goal is to provide a best-in-class image capture suite for astrophotography. Over the years we have been frustrated by a distinct lack of key features that make life easier under the stars. Take advantage of Sequence Generator Pro's powerful sequencing engine. With it you can coordinate a wide variety of equipment including cameras (CCD and Canon DSLRs), color filters, focus controllers and telescopes. String together any variety of targets and events you can imagine in order to capture "light", "dark", "bias" or "flat" frames (you can even use events to define "pause" or "mount park" events).

Equipment Profiles
Use our profile manager to make your life easier. Have multiple mounts or scopes? Have multiple sets of filters? Do they require different settings when you create sequences? The profile manager can record these settings and allow you create new sequences from existing profiles. This can be a huge time saver and will get you imaging faster every time!

Auto Focus
Stay in focus even when the temperature doesn't want you to! Our powerful focus metrics will be able to determine proper focus for almost any deep space target. No need to slew off target to find suitable focus stars! Simply start your sequence in good focus and auto focus will take care of the rest!

Automated Meridian Flip
Use our powerful automation to flip your mount and continue imaging on the other side of the meridian! Sequence Generator Pro will automatically stop guiding, flip the mount, center the target within pixels, restart guiding and then resume your imaging sequence. No operator assistance is required.1

Flexible Focusing Patterns
Use our flexible rules engine to define a wide variety of focusing patterns. These patterns can be used as part of the "in-sequence" auto focus routine (i.e. when temperature drops by 1 degree) or as a means to pause your sequence to force manual focus (via a focusing mask or other routine). Define patterns using time, frame intervals, temperature or filter changes.

Target Framing Made Easy
Use our powerful auto centering routines to find your target fast and start imaging! Ideal for multi-night imaging or even after meridian flips, we can get you back on track fast. Simply choose an image you want to center on (it can be your own or even something off the internet!) and with the click of a single button ask your mount to center itself and validate!

Center on Any Part of an Existing Image
With virtually any image that Sequence Generator Pro captures you can use the mouse to point to any area of interest and ask your mount to center itself there... with the click of a single button!

Create Complex Mosaic Sequences in Mere Minutes
With this tool you can plan complex mosaics in mere minutes and get to imaging quickly. Simply download the image that has your intended target (via the provided interface), rotate to find your camera angle, draw a square around the area of interest and start imaging (the tool will create a sequence for you). Task Explorer is an advanced Task Manager tool with emphasis on, not just monitoring what applications are running, but on finding out what applications are doing. The UI focuses on expedience and getting real time data of what the processes are doing at any given moment. Relevant data are provided in easy to access (as less clicks as possible) panels, with no need to open windows or windows of sub windows, instead additional informationâs for selected entries are shown in the lower half of the panel. Allowing to browse the detailed informationâs using arrow keys. And most data are refreshed continuously, as seeing the dynamic of values often grants additional insight.

Features
The Thread Panel contains a stack trace for the selected thread giving even more insight in wat the selected application is doing right now. This is also very useful to debug deadlocks or performance issues. The processes memory can be viewed and edited from the Memory Panel, which provides an advanced memory editor and string search capability. In the Handles Panel all open handles are shown, with useful informationâs like file name the current file position and size, these allow to see what a program is actually working on right now disk wise. The Socket Panel shows all open connections/sockets per process providing also data rate information, in the settings one can enable the display of pseudo UDP connections created from ETW data. That is every destination endpoint for UDP packets will be shown as an own entry in the sockets panel allowing to monitor with whom a program is communicating. The Modules Panel shows all loaded dllâs and memory mapped files, allowing to unload them as well as to inject a dll. And many more panels like Token, Environment, Windows, GDI, .NET, etcâ¦. By double clicking on a process, the Task Info panels can be opened in a separate window enabling the viewing of properties of multiple processes simultaneously.

The system monitor aspect of the application is also well developed. The toolbar provides decently sized graphs providing not just CPU usage but also usage of Objects, handles, network and IO/disk access. The system info panels show All Open Files in the system, All Open Sockets by programs, and the services Panel allows viewing and controlling all system services including drives. The performance panels for CPU, Memory, Disk I/O, Network and GPU provide large graphs showing the usage of system resources in a detailed manner. The System info panel can be collapsed completely providing more space for the Task info panels. So Instead being a panel of the main window, or additionally, the system info panels can be opened in an own window using the appropriate toolbar button.

USB Drive Letter Manager (USBDLM) 5.7.1 | Size: 2.38 MB

USBDLM gives you the freedom to assign a custom drive letter to the USB devices that are connected to your computer. It runs as a Windows service, which means that the logged on user does not require administrative rights in order to modify the drive letters.

By default, your system allocates a newly connected removable device to the first available drive. Letter assignments can also be changed manually via the Control Panel, but this application helps you save time and gives you less headaches.

The running service is capable of identifying the connected drives and instantly verify whether the letter that is assigned to the device is used by network drives for the currently logged in user.

Configuring the application behavior is done by editing the USBDLM. INI file. For your convenience, the package comes with a sample configuration file that can be used as an example.

You can set new drive letters that should be allocated to connected USB storage devices, retain certain letters that cannot be distributed to local drives, hide or remove certain drives, set the program to display a popup window containing the assigned drive letter or manage special situations that require you to assign letters to a drive provided specific conditions are met (for instance, a minimum size is exceeded).

One advantage of USBDLM is related to card readers, which are normally assigned a drive letter for each slot. With the help of this application, you can instruct the computer to create a new drive letter until a card is detected.

While configuring it might take a while and beginners might find this operation quite difficult, USBDLM can prove to be a useful tool for controlling the way Windows allocates letters to connected drives.

The APU Dynamics Optimizer is a dynamics optimization tool designed to support modern loudness types (LUFS, True Peak). Underneath the hood, the optimizer uses the same compression engine as the APU Loudness Compressor, but benefits from the full audio waveform instead of real-time measurements. This allows the gain envelope to be meticulously optimized across the entire waveform.

The design of this tool allows you to very precisely target a specific average LUFS and dynamic range. Once the gain envelope has been optimized, you can playback the result in real-time while adjusting the character of the sound with the same collection of parameters from the compressor plug-in.
Walkthrough
When you first open an audio file, the optimizer will analyze the audio file's loudness timeline. You'll then be presented with a pair of histograms. On the left, you'll see the audio file's current loudness distribution. On the right, you'll see a target distribution. The optimizer's job is to dynamically compress and expand the audio throughout the entire audio file strategically to match the target distribution.
Before continuing to the next step, you can make adjustments to the source percentiles. This allows you to exclude any unwanted audio from the optimization process. By default, the percentiles are set to match the LRA standard from LUFS. This generally does a good job capturing the main body of the audio.
Once you're happy with the source percentile range, you can then press the right arrow to continue to the next step.
Once optimization is complete, you can play the result in real-time while adjusting the character of the sound with the same collection of parameters from the compressor plug-in. Use the play/stop buttons and seek slider to navigate the audio while making any adjustments you'd like.
Once you're happy with the result, you can export the optimized audio to a new file. This file is always stored with the same samplerate as the original audio, using 32-bit floating point wave format. This ensures the highest quality audio is preserved. This format also allows samples over 0 dBFS, which ensures no clipping occurs.
You can listen and export with or without limiting. The built-in limiter can be configured in the Limiter tab, or you can bypass the limiter entirely and use your own external limiter after export.
Dynamics shaping
The dynamics optimizer allows you to reshape the full dynamics spectrum of your audio file. You can choose between Uniform or Normal distribution, with the ability to skew the latter toward the top or bottom of the distribution. This allows you to shape the dynamics of your audio in a variety of ways. The optimizer takes this information and uses it to make many tiny adjustments to the compress/expand ratio over time. Something you'd never be able to do with a traditional compressor.The optimizer can be configured to use the following distribution types
Uniform
Uniform distribution type is a flat distribution across the entire loudness range. This is a good starting point for most audio files, as it doesn't favor any particular loudness range. The result is an extremely balance loudness profile.
Normal
Normal distribution type is a bell curve distribution which can be skewed toward the top or bottom of the distribution. This allows you to dial in a very particular shape of your choosing, whether it's to more closely match the original audio or for creative effect.

The APU Loudness Compressor is a compressor/expander designed to support modern loudness types (LUFS, True Peak). The result is a compressor which sounds more transparent. The compressor is also capable of operating in a more traditional manner, using RMS and Peak units of measurement, so you can have your cake and eat it too. For more information on the differences between RMS/Peak and LUFS, you can review my LUFS blog post.

With "learn" mode enabled, the compressor will automatically adjust the source or target range to match the source material. This can be a great way to get started with the compressor and can be used as a starting point for further fine-tuning.
By default, the compressor operates using a "source range" and "target range" in place of threshold + ratio controls. You can also enable the traditional threshold + ratio controls if you prefer. A drop-down menu located at the top-right of the compressor's dynamics section allows switching between these modes of operation and others, such as expander, limiter, etc.

The APU Loudness Limiter is a real-time limiter designed to support multiple loudness types simultaneously. The limiter can be configured to use LUFS, True Peak, RMS, and/or Peak loudness types. This allows you to target multiple requirements simultaneously, such as a specific LUFS target and a specific True Peak target. Internally, the ballistics of the limiter are adjusted to accommodate the different loudness type limiter settings.

Loudness flavors
One of the key features of this limiter is its support for a variety of loudness types. The limiter's detection circuitry can be configured to use either LUFS and/or traditional measurement units (RMS, Peak). You can also choose to split or link channels, which is particularly useful for multi-channel audio formats such as Dolby Atmos®.
The limiter's detection circuitry can be configured to use any of the following loudness types
Momentary
Momentary is a short duration LUFS measurement (400ms), which is useful for processing the audio's moment-by-moment dynamics. This mode is responsive but also transparent. K-weighting and channel weighting are applied to the compressor's detection circuitry, improving perceptual accuracy.
Short-Term
Short-Term is a longer duration LUFS measurement (3 seconds), which is useful for processing the audio's large scale dynamics. Given the longer duration, this mode is less responsive than momentary, but it can be useful for adjusting the bigger picture of the audio's dynamics. K-weighting and channel weighting are applied as with momentary.
Integrated
Integrated is an infinite duration LUFS measurement. K-weighting and channel weighting are applied as with momentary, as well as both relative and absolute gating. This loudness type can be useful for continuously wrangling the audio's integrated loudness toward a specific target.
RMS
RMS loudness types use a rolling time interval of 150ms by default, which can be adjusted. RMS is a traditional loudness measurement, which is a good first-order approximation of perceived loudness. This mode doesn't apply K-weighting or channel weighting to the limiter's detection circuitry, giving it a more traditional character.
True Peak
True Peak loudness types are similar to traditional peak measurements, but they are more accurate as they take into consideration inter-sample peaks. These measurements use a time interval equal to the configured block size (1ms by default). This mode prevents clipping inter-sample peaks, which can be useful for mastering.
