Björn Schwarz knüpft an die aktuelle Diskussion an und beschreibt strukturelle Zusammenhänge innerhalb der professionellen Kompetenz von Mathematiklehramtsstudierenden im Rahmen einer qualitativ-orientierten empirischen Untersuchung. Dabei liegt ein besonderer Schwerpunkt auf der Analyse des Zusammenspiels von fachmathematischem und mathematikdidaktischem Wissen sowie des Einflusses mathematischer beliefs. Der Autor zeigt dabei auch, dass Lehrerfahrungen, die Studierende während bzw. außerhalb des Studiums erwerben, bedeutsam für den Wissenserwerb und die Verknüpfung verschiedener Facetten professioneller Kompetenz sind. Die Untersuchung trägt damit zu einem besseren Verständnis der Bedingungen erfolgreicher Mathematiklehrerausbildung bei.
