Is this right for me?"Yes! This course has been designed for and taken by, ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS. Students arrive with a wide variety of movement backgrounds, some without any formal dance training at all. They may have their own complementary practices they can draw upon, such as martial arts, somatic therapy, meditation or yoga.What do I need to begin learning this online?Space wise, look for an area least 10 x 10 feet. Ideally wood floors are best for sliding. Some contact dancers dance in grassy parks, their backyard, kitchen or kid's padded puzzle mats, as this makes for a nice landing pad as well. Please avoid dancing on concrete for safety. Clothing wise, we recommend longer sleeve shirts or tshirts in cotton, and sweatpants or leggings. Loose light layers are perfect!
