These features are: an individualistic and voluntarist conception of moral agency, a regulative and juridical orientation to human relationships, and an anthropocentric concentration on human rather than on divine right, judgement, and freedom. The humanity they portray is detached from its created ordering to Christological perfection and bound within a self-enclosed ethical and political self-understanding. This is effectively countered by the English reformers' presentation of the salvation of creation in Christ, faith working through love, the spiritual fellowship of the church, and the provisional character of political jurisdiction.

Seit dem Arbeitnehmer ein gesetzlicher Anspruch auf Entgeltumwandlung zusteht, hat er die Möglichkeit, den Arbeitgeber in das System der betrieblichen Altersversorgung zu zwingen. Es erfolgt dabei eine Zusammenschau von Betriebsrenten-, Insolvenz- und Versicherungsrecht.Nach einer kurzen Erläuterung der Dogmatik der Entgeltumwandlung sowie der Durchführungswege und Zusagearten der betrieblichen Altersversorgung untersucht der Verfasser die Auswirkungen der Eröffnung des Insolvenzverfahrens auf die möglichen Rechtsgrundlagen einer Entgeltumwandlungsabrede. Weil die betriebliche Altersversorgung regelmäßig über einen externen Versorgungsträger vollzogen wird, setzt sich Andreas Steigenberger anschließend mit den Auswirkungen der Eröffnung des Insolvenzverfahrens auf dieses Deckungsverhältnis auseinander.Nach einer detaillierten Darstellung der Reichweite der Einstandspflicht des Pensions-Sicherungs-Vereins VVaG in den einzelnen Durchführungswegen werden die Handlungsoptionen für Insolvenzverwalter und Zusageempfänger im arbeitsrechtlichen Valutaverhältnis und im versicherungsrechtlichen Deckungsverhältnis erörtert.
